DEI Training and Advisory Services
Human-centred, human rights–based inclusion services for Australian workplaces.
The Diversity Collective delivers people-focused system-change based diversity, equity and inclusion services grounded in lived and learned expertise. When you work with us, you’re not engaging off-the-shelf content — you’re working with people who understand these issues in practice, and who design work that translates into real organisational change.
Our services support organisations to move beyond compliance toward capability, culture and accountability.
Our Services
Because diversity and inclusion are shaped by context, our work is too. We don’t offer off-the-shelf services — every engagement begins with understanding your organisation and its specific needs.
We offer a full suite of diversity, equity and inclusion services — each delivered by practitioners curated for your specific context and needs. Whether you’re after a one-off keynote or a long-term culture strategy, we’ll find the right person from our collective.
All services can be delivered virtually or in person across Australia.
Training & Education
From compliance to capability — bridging the gap between intention and practice.
Our workplace training supports teams to understand why inclusion matters and how it shows up in everyday behaviour, decision-making and systems.
Training is tailored to your context and may include:
- foundational DEI and human rights awareness
- anti-racism and cultural safety
- disability inclusion and accessibility
- psychological safety and inclusive teams
- gender diversity and LGBTQIA+ inclusion
- neurodivergence at work
Formats include half-day, full-day and multi-session programs, delivered virtually or in person.
Speakers and Events
Keynotes, panel moderators, MCs — led by practitioners who have experienced exclusion at the hands of the system they are now working to change.
Looking for a speaker who can genuinely connect with your audience? We connect organisations with speakers, moderators and MCs who bring credibility, care and depth. Our speakers are experienced in holding complex conversations well.
Whether it’s a keynote for your annual conference, a panel discussion for NAIDOC Week, International Day of People with Disability, or Pride Month, or an MC who can hold space for meaningful conversation, we’ll work to find the right fit for your organisation.
Virtual and in-person options available Australia-wide.
Coaching
Individualised support for existing and aspiring leaders to lead inclusively. Gallup-based methodology available.
Inclusive leadership isn’t intuitive for everyone — and that’s okay. Our coaching supports current and emerging leaders to lead with greater awareness, responsibility and confidence. Engagements may include executive coaching, emerging leader programs or team-based coaching. This also includes supporting emerging leaders from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) or culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) backgrounds.
Our coaches incorporate strengths-based methodologies to empower individuals to lead with what they have.
Bespoke DEI Training
Designed for your context — not adapted from elsewhere.
Where standard training won’t suffice, we co-design programs aligned to your organisation’s specific needs, workforce and operating environment.
Bespoke engagements may focus on:
- culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
- disability confidence and accessibility
- gender diversity and LGBTQIA+ inclusion
- neurodivergence
- psychological safety
- anti-racism and cultural safety
Practitioners are selected based on both expertise and lived experience relevant to the focus area.
Advisory
Our practitioners bring both professional expertise and the perspective of those directly impacted by the policies and practices you’re trying to improve.
Our advisory services support organisations to assess current practice, identify gaps and design strategies that are defensible, effective and sustainable.
Engagements may include:
- DEI audits and assessments
- policy review and development
- recruitment and retention strategy
- accessibility assessments
- DEI strategy design and implementation
- board and executive advisory
This work is grounded in evidence, systems analysis and lived expertise — ensuring recommendations are both credible and practical.
Custom Solutions
Context first. Expertise by design.
If you’re unsure where to start, tell us what you’re navigating or the outcomes you’re seeking. We’ll work with you to design the right approach and ensure you’re paired with a practitioner that’s right for you – and the task at hand.
How We Work With You
Working with The Diversity Collective is straightforward. We meet you where you are.
You tell us what you need
Training, a speaker, coaching, an audit — whatever you’re planning, start by telling us about it. We’ll ask questions to understand your context and goals.
We match you with the right practitioner
Based on your needs, we recommend practitioners from our collective whose expertise and lived experience align with what you’re trying to achieve.
Your practitioner leads the work
Once we connect you with the appropriate practitioner, they’ll work with you directly to design and deliver the engagement.
We support you along the way
From initial enquiry to final delivery, we’re here to support. If you need to adjust scope or explore additional services, we’ll help you navigate that, too.
What Makes Our Services Different
There’s no shortage of DEI training providers in Australia. Here’s why organisations choose The Diversity Collective:
Lived experience, not just learned theory
Every practitioner in our collective brings genuine lived experience alongside professional expertise. They’re people who understand the systems from the inside.
Matched to your context
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. We take time to understand your organisation and match you with practitioners whose expertise fits your specific needs.
Calling in, not calling out
Our approach creates psychologically safe spaces for learning. We’re not here to shame or blame — we’re here to build capability and create genuine change.
Fair and transparent
Our practitioners are fairly compensated for their intellectual and emotional labour. When you book through us, you’re supporting a model that values the people doing the work.
Flexible delivery
Virtual or in person. One-off sessions or ongoing partnerships. We work with your schedule, budget, and preferences.
Accessible for Every Organisation
Inclusion education should not be limited to those with the largest budgets.
Accessibility is built into our model, with flexible delivery and pricing arrangements available where financial barriers exist — including for not-for-profits, community organisations and First Nations-led work.
If cost is a concern, talk to us about what’s possible. We’d rather find a way to work together than turn you away.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is your training different from other DEI providers?
Our services are led by practitioners with lived and learned expertise, curated to your context and designed to build real capability — not deliver generic content.
Can services be delivered virtually?
Yes. All our services can be delivered virtually or in person, depending on your organisation’s needs and preferences.
At TDC, lived experience is not treated as anecdote or identity alone. It is recognised as a form of expertise — developed over time, held with care, and applied intentionally to support meaningful change.
How do you match us with the right practitioner?
When you enquire, we take time to understand your context — your industry, the specific inclusion challenges you’re facing, your team’s needs, and your goals. We then recommend practitioners from our collective whose expertise and lived experience align with what you’re trying to achieve. You’ll have the opportunity to review their profile and confirm the match before proceeding.
What industries do you work with?
We work across all sectors — corporate, government, not-for-profit, education, healthcare, and community organisations. Our practitioners have experience with a wide range of industries and can tailor their approach to your specific context.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the type of service, duration, and complexity of the engagement. We’re transparent about our model: practitioners receive the majority of each fee with an agreed upon portion being allocated to the Collective Fund that supports shared infrastructure and community initiatives as well as ‘Paying the Rent,’ for undertaking this work on stolen land. We also offer sliding scale options for organisations with limited budgets.

Can you help us develop a long-term DEI strategy?
Absolutely. Our advisory services include DEI strategy design, audits, policy development, and ongoing support. We can work with you on a one-off project or as a longer-term partner, depending on your needs.
What if we're not sure what we need?
This is a great place to start! Reach out and tell us about the challenge you’re facing or the outcome you’re hoping for. We’ll recommend the right approach and the right practitioner — or help you figure out the best place to start.
