Mainstreaming Marginalised Expertise

The Diversity Collective

Human-centred and human rights–based inclusion training, speakers and advisory — led by practitioners with lived and learned expertise.

We help Australian organisations meaningfully embed inclusion, and dismantle the barriers that prevent lived-experience practitioners from accessing visibility, opportunity and influence.

For Organisations

We offer a full suite of diversity, equity and inclusion services for organisations — each delivered by practitioners matched to your specific context and needs. Whether you’re after a one-off keynote or a long-term culture strategy, we’ll find the right person from our collective to work WITH you.

Two Ways To Work With Us

For Practitioners

Ready to turn your lived and learned expertise into paid, meaningful work?

The Diversity Collective provides the platform, community and infrastructure to amplify your reach – while you retain your autonomy to step into your expertise.

We Call In, Not Call Out. We Pay The Rent. We Elevate Underrepresented Expertise.

DEI Training And Advisory Services

The Diversity Collective is a practitioner-led platform built on a simple belief: Who leads inclusion matters.

Leaders are accountable for inclusion. But expertise should shape it.

Too often inclusion work is shaped by power — who frames the problem, who defines the solutions, and who holds authority in the room. Yet lived and learned expertise in exclusion, access and systemic harm is often the hardest to reach. By definition, marginalised knowledge is less visible, less resourced and less platformed.

The result? Inclusion efforts are frequently led through generic, centralised models — or by those whose proximity to exclusion is theoretical rather than lived.

The Diversity Collective exists to change that.

The Diversity Collective bridges Australian organisations with practitioners whose lived and learned expertise aligns directly with the systems being examined. We mainstream marginalised expertise into decision-making spaces — not as consultation, but as authority.

Our inclusion work isn’t shaped by power – it’s shaped by redistributing it.

Engaging The Diversity Collective is more than booking a service. It is choosing a model that strengthens integrity, expands access, and ensures inclusion work is shaped by those closest to its impact.

Because when lived expertise leads, outcomes shift.

WORKPLACE TRAINING

Compliance modules, legislation training, culture-shift workshops, bridging the gap between ‘should do’ and ‘how to.’ Delivered virtually or in person across Australia.

SPEAKERS & EVENTS

Keynotes, panel moderators and MCs — led by practitioners whose work and lived experience inform how inclusion shows up in practice.

COACHING

Individualised support for current and emerging leaders to lead inclusively, with culturally responsive coaching for people from culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) backgrounds.

BESPOKE DEI TRAINING

Custom programmes aligned to your context: CALD/CARM communities, disability inclusion, gender diversity, psychological safety.

ADVISORY

Evidence-based audits, assessments and policy reviews — combining research, data and systems analysis to identify risk, gaps and practical pathways forward.

CUSTOM SOLUTIONS

Not sure what you need? Or where to start? That’s okay, let’s have a chat. Context first. Expertise second. The right practitioner, by design.

Why We Built The Diversity Collective

Many organisations are committed to inclusion but struggle to access the right expertise. At the same time, practitioners with deep, lived and professional knowledge are too often excluded from decision-making. The Diversity Collective exists to close that gap.

Our founder kept being booked as the diversity speaker and was told: ‘We don’t know anyone else.’ The barrier wasn’t a lack of will to act on inclusion — it was access.

So we built a platform that brings credible lived-and-learned experience into workplaces and supports the people who hold that knowledge to build sustainable careers.

We don’t monopolise DEI education — we democratise it.
